Downhill SUP boarding adventure at Teno river
Witness the most beautiful arctic landscapes around you from River Teno, paddling on a SUP-board!
SUP-boarding is a relaxing way to enjoy the arctic nature and its beauty. You can stand on the board and paddle, or if you want a bit easier way to do it, then sit on your knees while paddling!
We have planned the perfect route for you to paddle downstream on River Teno. You start from higher in the river and paddle downstream.
Our guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Utsjoki village (or meet us at our storage at Tenontie 114), drive you to the starting point upstream by the river Teno. You will get instructions how to use the SUP board and where the guide will be meeting you downstream. You will be paddling for about 2 hours, and then get a ride back from the end point at the beach to your accommodation in Utsjoki. The experience in total is about 4 hours, including transfers.
Tour includes transfers from Utsjoki village to starting point and back from the end point, SUP-boards and paddles, life jackets and dry sacks. Remember to bring your own snacks and water bottle, and protect your-self from sun!
If this is your first time on a SUP board or you are traveling with children, we recommend SUP boarding on a lake, not in a river. Send us email to request family-friendly SUP-boarding activity!

Safety instructions for all SUP boarding tours and SUP board rental:
Respect the water and don´t go to stormy waters or strong flows.
Plan your trip to fit your own skills and fitness level. Heavier paddling first ans easier last.
Make sure we know where you plan to go and when you plan to be back.
Always wear life vests.
Have a phone or GPS with full battery with you, in a water proof bag.
Have equipment and clothing according to weather. Protect your-self from cold and from sun.
Always attach the safety leash on your ankle. The board can float very far from you if not attached to you.
Always start paddling on your knees. Stand up only if you feel comfortable with your balance and when you are in deep enough waters. You don´t want to fall and hit your head in rocks!
By booking, you confirm to have read these safety instructions.
