Easy husky sledding

If you  want an easy husky experience in the gorgeous arctic scenery without mass  tourism, then this experience is for you!

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Utsjoki or Nuorgam, provide some extra winter gear if needed, and take you to a small, private husky farm on the Norwegian side of the River Teno (pick-up time normally around 2 PM, transfer about 60 minutes).

An experienced local musher will meet you at the farm and tell you about the huskies, their training and how to drive a husky sled. You can try driving the husky sled on the fields close to the farm. We will take you back to your accommodation in Utsjoki or Nuorgam after the sledding.

This 5 km husky sledding activity is suitable for families with children or anyone who is insecure about driving a dog sled.

When trying husky sledding as our guest, there is no need to be an  expert with dogs – anyone can participate. But it is important to  know that the dog sledding is like skiing: you can fall and you can get injured. This is rare,  but it can happen if the driver does not control the speed as  instructed. Listening to the safety instructions in the beginning is very important.
