Ice Fishing on a Fell lake
Join a local guide for a half-day tour to a wilderness lake and learn to catch your own fish!
Service Description
Join us on a half-day trip to a fell lake and learn the art of ice fishing! Ice fishing is a traditional way of catching fish in winter, when lakes are frozen. We will take you to the fells on a snowmobile and sleigh ride. We stop at a fell lake and try to catch arctic char and brown trout with an ice fishing rod. The guide will teach you how to fish and help you with using the rod. If you are lucky and get a catch, we can cook the fish for you on open fire. We enjoy hot drinks and snacks and sit comfortably on reindeer hides, admiring the silence and beauty of the wilderness around us. On our ice fishing trips, we only fish from waters that are too high in fish stock. This way we avoid exploiting the nature but restore balance of the lake, while having a nice time in the wilderness and learning new skills.
